Uganda finally gets affordable medical and life Insurance cover as HopeStone Africa concludes a partnership with Prudential Assurance Uganda Limited, a leading life insurance provider in the market. Friday 26th May marked a landmark in the insurance space in Uganda.

HopeStone Africa is an organisation that provides tailor made business development and financial services to entrepreneurs to accelerate business growth, financial inclusion and improved livelihoods in communities they operate. They are a professional organisation that deals with entrepreneurs from the micro enterprise sector to Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises.

Speaking to one of the founders of HopeStone Africa, Annet Nanyanzi, She reiterated that with this medical and life insurance scheme, business owners can focus on growing their businesses having covered the health and life of their families and staff.

Paul Ochwoni Nagemi, Chief Health Officer of Prudential Assurance Uganda limited was happy to note that the packages in the scheme are very favourable for business owners to thrive successfully.

According the Financial Sector Deepening Uganda’s Report on Uptake of Insurance Services only 1% of the total population in Ugandan has access to medical insurance. And with private insurance coverage concentrated among individuals living in urban areas or working for corporate companies.

HopeStone Africa has committed to unlocking access to health insurance for both individuals and group through their Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum packages from as low as UGX 372,000 per year.
