Viane Ssekajugo joins URA FC on a two-year deal

URA FC have confirmed the signing of former Wakiso Giants forward Viane Sekajugo on a two-year employment contract.

The forward has been a free agent following the expiry of his contract.

His contract with Wakiso expired towards the end of the previous season.

The former Masaka Local Council striker was with West Nile side Onduparaka FC until the 2019/20 season.

While with the Purple sharks, Viane Ssekajugo impressed offensively.

He created a lot of problems for opposition defences and was often a force to reckon with.

Ssekajugo will be hoping to replicate that form as he gets to don the iconic yellow and blue of the Tax Collectors.

“It would be deceiving if I told you that playing for a massive club like URA wasn’t on my mind.”

“Now that it’s reality, I just can’t wait to step on the pitch.”

“I want to represent this gigantic club in the best way possible,” Viane Ssekajugo said.

He would also further speak about his unwavering desire to compete at the top level.

Also, he seconded the idea of competition for positions as one he relishes a lot.

Ssekajugo will indeed provide competition and help improve URA’s frontline to be more assertive.

He possesses a lot of experience having featured for a number of clubs in Ugandan football.

Ssekajugo will not only wreak havoc to opposition defences but also create a sense of dominance for the club.

He gets to reunite with his former coach at Onduparaka FC Simoen Massa who is currently the interim Head Coach with the Tax Collectors.

URA FC will represent Uganda in the forthcoming CAF Confederation Cup preliminary rounds where a tie against Ethiopian Coffee FC has already been lined up for us on Sunday, 12 September 2021.
