Centenary Bank has contributed UGX 10 million towards the completion of the Mbarara Clergy House, reaffirming its continued support for the Church and community development.
The contribution was handed over during a Mass held at the AMDA Rubaga House, where the Bank joined members of the Association of the Members of the Diocesan Apostolate (AMDA Uganda).
Speaking on behalf of the Managing Director, the General Manager Operations, Edith Kababure, said the Bank’s partnership with the Church is rooted in shared values that focus on nurturing responsible and disciplined communities.
“Supporting the Church has always been close to our hearts. Through this partnership, our commitment is reflected in the products and programmes we offer, especially those that guide children and young people to develop a saving culture early in life,” Kababure said.
She encouraged parents to continue instilling the habit of saving at home, noting that early financial discipline lays a strong foundation for the future of young people.
Kababure also highlighted the Bank’s previous contribution of UGX 50 million towards the renovation of Nyamitanga Cathedral, made last year as part of its ongoing support to the Church.
She thanked Church leaders for their continued trust in Centenary Bank, revealing that in the past year alone, one million young people opened accounts with the Bank.
The Bank says it remains committed to supporting initiatives that promote faith, financial inclusion and long-term community development across the country.
