Gallery: Liverpool kicks off pre-season training

The Liverpool squad undertook lactate testing as they kicked off their pre-season programme on the first day in Austria on Monday.

Small groups took turns to perform the drill – which measures endurance levels with a series of runs at increasing speeds..

All these are happening at Liverpool’s pre-season training camp on the outskirts of Salzburg.

Players at Liverpool included summer signing Ibrahima Konate.

Others include the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joe Gomez, Joel Matip and Virgil van Dijk after injury.
