Vicky Jolly Bukosera: Quietly Leading Uganda’s Digital Banking Evolution

Vicky Jolly Bukosera may not make noise, but her work speaks volumes. A dynamic banking professional at NCBA Group, she is playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of digital and transactional banking in Uganda and across the region.

Her name appears twice on the bank’s internal wall of honor, having earned two performance excellence certificates for her consistency, leadership, and quiet brilliance in delivering results. She is widely recognized within her circles for her calm leadership, reliable execution, and a work ethic that uplifts every team she serves on.

Career in Motion: From Kampala to Nairobi
Vicky’s banking journey at NCBA Group spans over 7 years, during which she has progressively grown through multiple roles each sharpening her expertise in customer experience, cash management, and digital channel development.

Currently, she serves in Products and Channels Development, where she is deployed in Nairobi, Kenya representing Uganda as part of a strategic regional implementation team for NCBA’s new Corporate Internet Banking Platform for NCBA.

In this critical role, she:

Leads and supports User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Manages end-to-end support from requirements to go-live
Collaborates across Transactional Banking, IT, Operations, and vendor teams
Drives client adoption through user training and support
Continuously enhances platform functionality based on client feedback

Before this regional assignment, Vicky spent over 5 years in Uganda, holding various roles including:

Transactional Banking Relationship Officer – Cash Management Products
(Jul 2019 – Jun 2020)
Focused on supporting business clients with efficient cash and liquidity solutions.

Customer Experience Assistant
(Apr 2018 – Jul 2019)
Where she began her NCBA journey, building the foundation for her client-centric approach.
