Nakulabye Parish Youth gathered today at the Our Lady of Fatima Shrine to celebrate Youth Day alongside the Feast of the Baptism of Jesus, with a Holy Mass held under the theme “Let us serve the Lord with gladness.”
The celebrations were graced by the Managing Director of Centenary Bank, Mr. Fabian Kasi, who attended as the Chief Guest. His presence highlighted the bank’s continued commitment to supporting young people and community development.
During the Holy Mass, Rev. Fr. Joseph Mukiibi commended Centenary Bank for its strong service to the community and its dedication to Corporate Social Responsibility.
“Centenary Bank has consistently served the people with commitment and care,” Fr. Mukiibi said. “I encourage young people to open accounts and develop a saving culture because saving is the foundation for future investments.”
He also urged the community to continue supporting Centenary Bank and the wider Centenary Group, noting that supporting local institutions enables them to grow and serve society better. Fr. Mukiibi further thanked Mr. Kasi for joining the youth as Chief Guest on such an important day.
In his remarks, Mr. Fabian Kasi expressed gratitude to the congregation for trusting Centenary Bank through its agents, CenteMobile, ATMs, and branches across the country.
“Your trust in Centenary Bank means a lot to us,” Kasi said. “We remain committed to serving you and walking with you on your financial journey.”
Addressing the youth, he emphasized the importance of hope and purpose.
“When I see young people gathered like this, I see hope and a bright future,” he noted. “Your presence here is a sign that tomorrow will be better.”
As part of the celebrations, Mr. Kasi donated UGX 5 million to support the Nakulabye Youth Apostolate, reaffirming Centenary Bank’s dedication to youth empowerment.
He concluded by reaffirming the bank’s commitment to supporting young people through financial education and development.
“At Centenary Bank, we are dedicated to helping young people grow, save, and turn their dreams into reality,” he said.
