Introduction and early life.

Sheebah Karungi aka SwaggMama as known by netizens and fans all over social media-. (Born November 11, 1989, Kawempe a division in Kampala district the capital city of Uganda), A Ugandan recording artist, dancer, and actress dating back to her career in Queen of Katwe as Shakira and a businesswoman and she has opened up a number of businesses around Kampala including The Red Bar, a hair extension business called Sheebah, and the latest being Sheebaholics .

Education Background.

Sheebah Karungi started her basic education at Kawempe Muslim primary school. For her high school education, at the age of 15, she joined Midland High school where she had to drop out in senior two as she wouldn’t meet the school fees.

Career and Musical achievements

After dropping out of school, she stood dancing around the streets for money after which she joined a dancer (Stingers crew) before she was recognized by Obsessions music group in 2006. 

During her time at obsessions, she developed an interest in music recording 2 songs before she left for a solo music career in 2010. Her first official single was Kunyenyeza produced by Washington and written by Cindy (Her latest rival and competitor). 

Following Bulikyekola and Baliwa featuring Coco Finger, She released Automatic with writing credit from Sizzaman. Boom, that’s when her solo career experienced a major turnaround. Upon the successful stories from Automatic, she teamed up with Sizzaman to later produce IceCream which received massive airplay and reviews which led to another hit single Twesana.

Massive Breakthroughs Projects

Sheebah’s first project is dated back to 2014 which included singles such as Jordan and Ice Cream. The project was received and welcomed by the public which is why she won the female artist of the year 2014 and 2015 HiPipo music awards. 

Following successful stories from her first project and increased fan base both at home and internationally, Sheebah held the Nkwatako concert in 2016 and the Omwoyo concert in 2018 at hotel Africana in Kampala all under Team no sleep management. 

Although her concert was a big hit, the Omwoyo concert threw her some criticism from the public for her low vocal ability as a live performer.

Won Zzina awards 2017 as female artist of the year, Artist of the Year, and Best Collaboration of the year.

Won HiPipo music awards 2016 as Best Artist, Best Female Artist, Best Afropop Song, East Africa best Video and Video of the year.

Won Uganda Entertainment Awards 2016 as Female Artist of the year.

Won HiPipo Music Awards 2015 as the Best Afropop song of the year.

Won Uganda Entertainment Awards 2015 as Best Female Artist of the year
