In a communications landscape that demands agility, authenticity, and strategic clarity, Lyn Tukei has emerged as one of Uganda’s most influential voices in public relations, fintech branding, and institutional storytelling. With a decade of experience shaping powerful narratives across government, finance, and technology, Lyn is redefining how public institutions engage citizens and build trust.
She currently serves as Manager, Communications and Public Relations at the Capital Markets Authority (CMA) of Uganda, where she leads strategic messaging for one of the country’s most critical financial regulators. Her work involves stakeholder engagement, media relations, and public education on investment and financial literacy, ensuring that Uganda’s capital markets are not only understood but trusted.
In addition to her regulatory role, Lyn is the Deputy Secretary General at the Public Relations Association of Uganda (PRAU), where she champions professional ethics, innovation, and capacity building within the communications industry. Her leadership in PRAU reflects a deep commitment to elevating the standards and visibility of Uganda’s PR professionals.
Lyn holds a Master’s in Corporate and Strategic Communication from Makerere University and a Postgraduate Certificate in Media Studies from Oslo Metropolitan University. Her academic foundation supports a forward-thinking approach to digital transformation, particularly in the realm of AI, technology, and executive online branding.
Her recent research explores how a meticulously cultivated online presence can shape public perception and drive business growth. On 8th August, she hosted a highly subscribed personal branding masterclass for executives, attracting over 120 participants from institutions such as Bank of Uganda, MTN, Uganda Baati, and Roofings. This initiative reflects her belief that strategic communication is not just a tool, but a catalyst for leadership and influence.
Lyn’s career also includes her tenure as Public Relations Lead at Xente Tech, a leading Ugandan fintech, where she helped position the company as a pioneer in automating business finance. Her work earned her international recognition, including being named among Propel USA’s Top 100 Most Influential Fintech PR Professionals globally in 2023, ranking in the top 25.
Her accolades include the Tebere-Mudin Award (2018) by Monitor Publications, 2023 Young Communicator of the Year Award by PRAU, and recognition among Hipipo’s Top 40 Women Leaders Under 40 pioneering change in fintech and beyond.
As a woman leading in sectors traditionally dominated by men – finance, tech, and regulation, Lyn brings a bold yet empathetic approach to leadership. She is passionate about personal branding, strategic communication, and creating platforms where women’s voices are amplified and respected.
Lyn Tukei moves nations by shaping narratives that matter, bridging institutions and communities, building trust in financial systems, and mentoring the next generation of communicators.
