GITEX Technology Week 2020 opens doors – only major in-person technology event

Dubai World Trade Centre is preparing to open the landmark 40th edition of GITEX Technology Week, the only major in-person technology event to go live in 2020, hosted from 6th-10th December.

Visitor safety is DWTC’s number one priority, and GITEX will be hosted in full compliance with Dubai Government regulations as well as the guidelines of the Dubai Health Authority and Dubai Municipality.

GITEX will host over 1,200 exhibitors from over 60 countries, as well as a conference lineup of over 350 in-person speakers who are flying into Dubai from 30 countries, who will discuss the latest developments in deep-tech areas such as 5G, Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, Cybersecurity, Cloud and Edge Computing, Digital Economies, Future Mobility and Blockchain.

GITEX will host showcases from innovative nations, including Bahrain, Belgium, Brazil, France, Hong Kong, Israel, Italy, Japan, Nigeria, Poland, Romania, Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom and the United States of America, among others.

GITEX Technology Week will serve as an umbrella event for the region’s leading technology shows, including GITEX Future Stars, the region’s largest tech startup event; the Gulf Information Security Expo and Conference (GISEC), the region’s largest cybersecurity conference and exhibition; Future Blockchain Summit, the leading Blockchain festival, as well as the inaugural edition of Marketing Mania, the new platform dedicated to brand tech marketers.

The world’s biggest names in technology are set to gather at GITEX, including Avaya, Dell Technologies, du, Etisalat, Honeywell, Huawei, IBM, Lenovo, Microsoft, Red Hat and more. GITEX will also spotlight the technological progress of a range of UAE Government entities who are leading the country’s digital economy transformation, including Smart Dubai, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, the Abu Dhabi Government, Dubai Police and Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority. In addition, the event will feature the presence of the Ajman Government, the Fujairah Government and the Ministry of Interior KSA
