Paratus Group, a leading Pan-African telecom and network services provider, has officially extended its footprint into Uganda through a new joint venture with local internet service provider Roke Telkom Ltd. The partnership has given birth to Paratus Uganda, a fully-fledged entity launched in Kampala to boost high-quality connectivity and enterprise ICT solutions in the country.

The establishment of Paratus Uganda strengthens Paratus Group’s vision of building a seamless African network that supports businesses across borders. By merging Paratus’s extensive continental infrastructure with Roke Telkom’s strong local presence, the new venture aims to deliver reliable, scalable, and business-grade services to Ugandan enterprises.

Paratus Uganda plans to serve a wide range of industries—including healthcare, mining, tourism, manufacturing, and nongovernmental organizations—sectors that depend heavily on stable and secure data services.

Roke Telkom, with nearly two decades of operations in Uganda, brings deep expertise in deploying and managing metro fiber networks, particularly in major towns and business hubs. Their experience serving government bodies, corporate clients, financial institutions, and security firms forms a strong foundation for the capabilities of the new venture.

Speaking at the launch, Roke Telkom’s representative for Paratus Uganda, Edwin Kyambadde, noted that the partnership blends local knowledge with international reach, creating a strong regional connectivity partner for both domestic and multinational enterprises.

Paratus Group CEO, Schalk Erasmus, said the move into Uganda aligns with the company’s mission of delivering world-class connectivity across Africa, adding that Uganda’s strategic location enhances network links to neighboring markets.

Group Commercial Executive Martin Cox described the launch as a major milestone that underscores Paratus’s commitment to expanding high-quality telecom services throughout the continent.

With the unveiling of Paratus Uganda, businesses can expect improved cross-border communication, dependable internet infrastructure, and a broader range of enterprise-grade ICT services designed to match global standards.
