Over 50 Organisations to Face Hard Times as Gov’t Suspends DGF Operations

The decision by President Museveni to suspend operations of the Democratic Governance Facility (DGF) the biggest donor to Uganda’s state and non-state actors is set to affect the operations of a number of several organisations.

DGF is a multi-donor funding mechanism supported by Austria, Denmark, Ireland, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, the United Kingdom and the European Union to support state and non-state partners to strengthen governance, promote and protect human rights, enhance access to justice, and improve accountability in Uganda.

The following are bodies that have been benefiting from their funding including government agencies and these are set to experience a set back due to funding challenges.
