Charity currently serves as Head of Marketing at dfcu Bank, a role she assumed in August 2024. She also holds leadership positions as an Associate Consultant at Uganda Management Institute and President of the Uganda Marketers Society, demonstrating her influence across corporate and professional development platforms.

A Dynamic and Strategic Career Journey

With a marketing career spanning over 17 years, Charity has led transformational growth at top-tier financial institutions including Ecobank Group (Marketing Manager for  Consumer Banking, Marketing Manager Remittances and Agency Banking) and double as the Ecobank Uganda (Head of Marketing, 2022–2024) and dfcu Bank. She also served as Manager Digital Marketing and Strategic Alliances at Airtel right after her role as Trade Marketing Executive at Airtel Money.  Prior to this, she harnessed her marketing prowess from the ad world where she worked with MAAD Advertising and SCANAD in Client Servicing roles where strategy  lay.

Her journey reflects a blend of strategic insight, impactful communication, and expertise across digital, research, and integrated marketing cementing her reputation as a leader who builds brands and nurtures teams.

Championing 2024 as #Stardom Year

Through her engaging “Stardom”, Charity highlighted a milestone-packed year, marked by earning an MBA from the University of Gloucestershire, obtaining a SAFe® 6 Agilist certification, launching as Head of Marketing at dfcu, and being voted President of Uganda Marketers Society along with recognition in Women in Marketing Uganda

Her 2024 theme “From Branding to Breaking Barriers” was echoed, celebrating her role as a visionary marketer empowering teams and brands alike.

Thought Leadership & Industry Influence

Charity’s leadership extends beyond her roles at dfcu and UMS. As a judge for the Silverback Awards, she has helped set standards for marketing excellence in East Africa

At the Marketers’ Fireplace by SoftPower, she emphasized the importance of data-driven creativity:

Creativity plus empathy can increase campaign effectiveness by 20%… Without understanding your results, you’re flying blind.

As President of UMS, Charity led key dialogues on education and innovation, calling for enhanced research, stronger collaboration, and a focus on empowering the next generation of marketers.

Community Advocacy & Personal Impact

Beyond professional achievements, Charity is a vocal advocate for community causes. In late 2023, she co-hosted a Rotary X space event “Why Rotary Cancer Run” encouraging collective action and shared purpose

She continues to inspire through mentorship programs in her personal and joint programs’ capacity. Through her tutoring, she has designed student clubs for one-to-help-another in seeking growth beyond the marketing skills – think #Stardom from a wholistic view – body, mind and soul; in her own words, “In each one of us lies a star that needs a little spark to beam to the ends of the earth with the God given A-Game.” She is a member of the Next Generation Women’s Mentorship Program that inspires the next leaders to transform the market place based on Biblical principles and global benchmarks.
