Centenary Bank has donated 20 waste bins to Gayaza High School as part of its commitment to promoting environmental stewardship and supporting communities.

The bins were handed over during a visit by the bank’s team led by Jeffrey Muhwezi, the Manager of Business Banking at the Gayaza Branch. The delegation was warmly received by the Chairperson of the School Board, Mrs. Rosette Lubwama Kebba, Head Teacher Mrs. Robinah Katongole Kizito, and members of the student body.

Speaking during the handover, Mrs. Kebba expressed gratitude to the bank for the timely support.

“We are truly grateful to Centenary Bank for this thoughtful donation. The bank arrived generously equipped with waste bins, and the school community deeply appreciates this contribution,” she said.

Head Teacher Mrs. Robinah Katongole Kizito also thanked the bank for supporting environmental cleanliness at the school.

“We appreciate Centenary Bank for supporting efforts to keep our environment clean and protected. The school has a dedicated team of students who supervise and maintain the compound to ensure proper environmental care,” she noted.

Mrs. Kizito also thanked the school’s Board Chair for reaching out to the bank’s Managing Director, whose positive response made the donation possible.

She added that the school was honoured by the gesture and pledged to maintain a clean and green environment.

“We are honoured and thankful for this support, and we commit to upholding a clean and green environment. We also pray that God continues to bless Centenary Bank for its generosity,” she said.

Jeffrey Muhwezi said the donation reflects the bank’s commitment to environmental stewardship.

“Environmental stewardship is one of our key priorities as a bank, and it motivated this donation. We will also report back and consider providing an additional consignment,” Muhwezi said.

He also thanked the school management for the warm reception and for maintaining a strong banking relationship with the institution.

Muhwezi commended Gayaza High School for preserving its distinguished reputation over the years and encouraged the continuation of the partnership between the school and the bank.
